The Project

e2m was engaged to undertake a third-party audit of the Development Conditions and Environmental Protection Licence for a natural gas-fired power station in New South Wales.

Our Approach

The audit was completed in accordance with ISO auditing principles and included:

  • Desktop review: Examination of relevant documents, systems, registers, and records, alongside interviews with key stakeholders.

  • Site audit: Two days on site to assess the implementation of controls, interview personnel, and review physical documentation.

  • Audit reporting: Preparation of a comprehensive report, including visual demonstrations of site compliance, recommendations, and opportunities for improvement.

Outcomes

The three-yearly compliance audit successfully satisfied NSW regulatory requirements and the conditions of the site’s approvals, including its Development Approval (DA) and Environmental Protection Licence (EPL). The process reaffirmed that site operations continue to meet legislative and licence obligations while identifying opportunities for ongoing improvement.
