As I reflect on the last 10 years of leading E2M, I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude. When I founded E2M, my vision was to build a firm which provided high quality ecological consulting services and delivered what the client needed and when. A decade later, I believe we’ve achieved that—and much more.
Growing from the ground-up
In the early days, E2M was a team of two in a back office in West End, Brisbane focused on filling the gap in the market to do better in ecology. Our purpose was to be great people delivering balanced environmental outcomes – the same purpose that continues to drive our firm today. As we tackled our first few projects, we quickly realised the importance of collaboration in creating lasting ecological benefits. One client grew to two, two to four, and we began to scale.
New sectors and challenges
As we grew, so did the scope of our work. From foundations in Oil & Gas, we expanded into Renewables and Mining, playing an essential role in balancing growth with ecological integrity. Today, our expertise in biodiversity offsets and ecological assessments sets us apart from the competition as we demonstrate our ability to navigate complex projects with confidence and provide our clients with measurable results throughout the project lifecycle.
Technological innovation
From the outset, finding new ways to deliver faster, more accurate outcomes for our clients was a priority. We’ve always been on the front foot, identifying new technologies and ways of working to add value in as many areas as possible. From bioacoustics to image detection, we now find ourselves at the forefront of technology driven ecology, working on flagship projects which are making a measurable difference to the world we live in.

One of the most rewarding aspects of our journey has been watching our talented team grow and evolve. We continue to attract the brightest minds in ecology, coaching and mentoring and investing in the next generation of ecologists.
