Kurtis Kemp

Senior Ecologist

Kurtis has eight years of experience in flora and fauna habitat assessments and ecological impact assessments, with a focus on Queensland and Northern NSW species. He has conducted surveys and analyses across eastern Australia, providing ecological advisory services to both public and private sectors, including tourism, transport, defence, renewables, mining, and local government developments.

Through extensive fieldwork, Kurtis has developed strong expertise in species identification and management, including terrestrial ecology assessments, threatened species habitat assessments, targeted surveys, protected plant surveys, bio-condition assessments, and regional ecosystem mapping. With a keen interest in botany and floristics, he is particularly passionate about rainforest ecology.

Kurtis has worked extensively on ecological assessment reports, significant impact assessments, species management plans, environmental monitoring programs, and small-scale approval processes. His deep understanding of state and federal environmental legislation continues to evolve alongside industry developments. Through successful client consultation, Kurtis has built strong relationships across Queensland.
