His experience is focussed on Queensland and Northern NSW fauna and flora species and has completed surveys and analyses across the Bowen, Galilee, and Surat basins. Kurtis has provided ecological advisory services in public and private sectors including tourism, transport, defence, renewables, mining, and local council developments.
Kurtis has acquired adept knowledge in species identification and management through terrestrial ecology assessments, threatened fauna and flora habitat assessments, targeted threatened fauna and flora surveys, protected plant surveys, biocondition assessments, and regional ecosystem mapping. Kurtis has worked extensively on significant impact assessments, species management plans, environmental monitoring programs and small-scale approval processes. His knowledge on state and federal legislation is comprehensive and through successful client consultation, Kurtis has created substantial relationships throughout Queensland.
